Samford DL Mitchell Smith: little recent data, but profile points to a depth-piece presence
Mitchell Smith is listed as a Samford defensive lineman, but the available public data do not show meaningful 2025 production, so the current read is more about roster presence than proven impact. The main reason to keep him on your radar is positional value: interior defensive line depth matters, and Samford’s roster listings/archives confirm he has been part of that unit. Because there is no strong stat trail here, the biggest unknown is whether his game shows the kind of leverage, toughness, and practice-day consistency that coaches value beyond box-score numbers.
