Pepperdine’s Will Goodman: slick infield depth with upside, but still searching for a breakout
In the 2026 season, Will Goodman was a redshirt freshman infielder at Pepperdine who appeared in 35 games and made 23 starts, hitting .241 with a .619 OPS, 9 RBI, and 2 doubles plus 2 triples. The profile says he’s a 6-foot, 185-pound right-handed infielder from Bend, Ore., and the key appeal is projection: he’s already getting real college reps, can handle multiple infield looks, and brings some extra-bases pop for a younger player. Right now, he looks more like a steady development piece than a finished product—worth watching if you value athletic infield depth and future growth.
