Kansas Jayhawks' Tackling Machine from the 2007 Season
Mike Rivera, a standout linebacker for the Kansas Jayhawks in 2007, started all 13 games, racking up 96 tackles (third on the team), 10.5 tackles for loss, and 3 sacks (tied for second), earning All-Big 12 Third Team (Phil Steele) and Honorable Mention (Coaches) nods as a Butkus Award watchlister. His relentless intensity and sideline-to-sideline pursuit made him a defensive cornerstone, blending physicality with football IQ—ideal for teams needing a proven, hard-nosed leader, though note he's a former pro now in real estate, not active college ball.
