Walker Lyons brings NFL-sized upside to BYU’s tight end room
A junior transfer from USC, Walker Lyons enters 2026 as BYU’s projected starter with real pro-style traits: 6-foot-4, 245 pounds, four-star pedigree, and a preseason Mackey Award watch-list nod in August 2026. In the 2026 season, he’s off to a quiet start statistically with 2 catches for 22 yards through the opening game, but the bigger draw is his profile as a reliable middle-of-the-field target with draftable size and upside. If your team wants a ready-made tight end who can grow into a mismatch weapon, Lyons is a strong fit.
