From Hampton Pirates WR to Maury's 3-Peat Dynasty Architect
Dyrri McCain, a former Hampton University wide receiver who tallied 13 catches for 133 yards and a TD in nine games during his college career, has evolved into an elite high school coach, leading Maury to a historic third straight VHSL Class 5 state title in 2025 with a jaw-dropping 100-15 record, four championships, and a 41-game win streak against Virginia foes while outscoring opponents 755-156 (50-10 avg). His differentiator? Relentless program-building intensity that reloads talent post-graduation of nine All-State stars (six to D1, five Power 5), making him a proven winner ideal for teams seeking culture-defining leadership.
