Cameron Mazell brings left-handed pop and late-game clutch for Norfolk State
Mazell profiles as a dependable, left-handed first baseman who can hurt pitchers when he squares the ball up, and his walk-off single for Norfolk State underscores real late-game poise under pressure.[2] In the 2025 season, he posted a .164 batting average with a .490 OPS over 64 at-bats, so the bat has been inconsistent, but his value is more about situational hitting, run production, and steady infield play than big power numbers.[4][9] If you want a gritty role player who can handle pressure and give you competitive at-bats, he’s worth a look; if you need a middle-of-the-order slugger, he’s not that profile.[2][4]
