Malik Marquetti brings veteran size, shooting, and defensive versatility to Louisiana
Marquetti is a 6-6 guard/forward whose game pops for its two-way versatility: in the 2018-19 season, he averaged 15.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals while ranking among the Sun Belt leaders in 3-point percentage (.452), threes per game (2.5), and free throw percentage (.868)[1]. He was described as Louisiana’s most versatile player and top perimeter defender before a knee injury ended his season, which tells you the fit is about toughness, spacing, and matchup flexibility as much as raw production[1].
