FIU commit Martez Jones brings size and safety versatility to the back end
Martez Jones is a 2027 FIU commit listed at 6-foot, 196 pounds, giving the Panthers a safety prospect with enough frame to play physical and enough mobility to fit modern coverage demands. He’s the kind of defensive back who matters because of role flexibility, not flashy box-score noise, and his commit status suggests FIU values his upside and willingness to develop. The key question for him is whether his range and open-field consistency keep climbing as the competition level rises.
