Nick Heninger brings veteran edge-setting and academic-star reliability to Utah State’s defensive front
Heninger is a proven, high-effort defensive end whose value goes beyond box-score stats: Utah State has recognized him as an Honorable Mention All-Mountain West performer, a Pro Football Focus Second-Team All-Mountain West selection in 2020, and an Academic All-American, while the school also named him a Burlsworth Trophy nominee for his walk-on-to-impact-player story. He stands out for toughness, football IQ, and power—at Utah State’s 2022 Pro Day, he posted 30 bench-press reps, a strong indicator of functional strength. That profile makes him a good fit for a team needing a dependable, mature, physical edge presence.[2][3][4][8]
