Bethune-Cookman Guard with Proven Scoring Burst but Limited Recent Visibility
Jamal Gaines, a guard for the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats, flashed serious scoring potential in prior seasons, averaging 9.8 points and 2.4 rebounds across 24 games with a hot streak of 9 straight double-figure outings and a 20-point explosion vs. Santa Fe State; his differentiator is explosive offensive intensity as a junior (2016-17 stats), though career marks like 0.9 PPG and 27.9% FG (ESPN) reflect injury setbacks and reserve roles at Park (2020-21). Versatile 6-9 frame adds mismatch appeal—care if you need a high-energy bench spark with upside, perfect fit for teams rebuilding depth.
