Austin Peay Kicker with Elite Kickoff Power but FG Struggles
Nick Gauna, Austin Peay's #23 place kicker from Greenwood Village, CO, boasts a career 96.8% extra point success rate (30/31) and 55.6% field goal accuracy (5/9), per ESPN career stats through the 2016 season—highlighting rock-solid XP reliability but a clear need for range development, as he's yet to connect from 20+ yards. His differentiator shines in kickoffs, averaging 68.75 yards per attempt (top-10 at a major combine despite a pulled quad), signaling NFL scout intrigue for special teams explosion. Low-volume career (45 total points) suggests untapped potential; perfect for teams needing a booming kickoff specialist with XP clutch to groom into a full-time kicker.
