Ethan Swaby brings strike-throwing upside to NDSU’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, North Dakota State freshman right-hander Ethan Swaby appeared in nine games out of the bullpen and logged 10 strikeouts in 9.2 innings, showing a punchy relief profile with a season-best three Ks over 2.0 innings at Northern Colorado. The Canadian freshman (6-1, 185) already flashed poise in his debut with two strikeouts and no walks, and his multi-sport background suggests athleticism and competitiveness beyond the box score. He looks like a good fit if you want a young arm with room to grow, clean strike-throwing, and late-inning upside.
