Iona’s bruising, two-way forward with a proven Gaels legacy
Gary Springer is a classic Iona frontcourt load-up: physical, productive, and built for the dirty work. In the 2008-09 season, he led the Gaels in scoring at 11.8 points per game and rebounding at 7.0 boards per game, while shooting a career-best .582 from the field, which underlined his efficiency around the rim. Earlier Iona notes also highlighted him as a high-motor rebounder and a hard worker capable of a breakout night. If your team wants toughness, interior scoring, and reliable effort over flash, he’s the kind of F/C who fits.
