Chase Krewson brings left-handed pop and veteran outfield experience to Rutgers
In the 2026 season, Chase Krewson gave Rutgers a legit middle-of-the-order bat, hitting .264 with a .368 OBP, .452 SLG, 9 home runs, and 30 RBIs over 235 plate appearances, while also earning Big Ten Players to Watch recognition before the season.[1][2] The appeal is the blend: left-handed power, solid on-base skills, and enough track record from Duke and UCF to suggest he isn’t a one-note hitter.[2][7] He also added value with starting outfield experience and a reputation as a transfer with one year left, which made him a short-term impact fit rather than a long-term project.[2][4][5]
