Freshman linebacker with size, but still an unproven Red Flash piece
Matt Johnson is a 6-2, 220-pound freshman linebacker for Saint Francis U in 2026, so the appeal is obvious: long-frame size, downhill potential, and a clean developmental profile for a defense that values toughness in the box[2]. ESPN’s current player page lists him on the Red Flash roster, but available public stats show no college production yet, which means this is more about projection than résumé right now[1][2]. If you want a young LB to mold, he fits; if you need an immediate stat-stuffer, the sample is still too thin.
