Nick Blaszczak is Gardner-Webb’s high-variance righty with strikeout bite
In the 2026 season, Nick Blaszczak has flashed the kind of arm you keep on the radar: he owns a 9.39 ERA over 7.2 innings with 7 strikeouts, but also a 1-0 win in a 2026 upset over App State, showing he can handle real innings when the matchup fits. He’s a 6-foot, 175-pound junior from Suwanee, Georgia, and the appeal is the right-handed shape and swing-and-miss potential more than gaudy run prevention right now. If you need a projectable bullpen piece with toughness and room to sharpen command, he’s intriguing; if you need instant polish, not quite yet.
