Dante Smith has emerged as a useful all-around outfielder for North Dakota State, showing a bat that can handle league pitching and a game that plays beyond the box score. In the 2025 season, he hit .303 with 50 hits, 22 RBI, 11 stolen bases and 16 multi-hit games, and he kept producing in Summit League play with a .375 average.
