VMI’s Agile WR with Elite Intensity and Redshirt Junior Grit
Travis Buchanan, a 5’7”, 170-lb Redshirt Junior WR for the VMI Keydets, stands out not for raw stats (no 2023 season stats available) but for his relentless intensity, 2-season starter pedigree, and compact, explosive playing style. Though listed as a WR, his X profile notes he’s also a 6’2”, 225-lb linebacker with one year of eligibility—suggesting rare dual-threat versatility and football IQ. His Duluth, GA roots and Northview High School background reflect a disciplined, team-first personality. With no injury history reported and a May graduation timeline, he’s a high-fit, low-risk athlete for teams needing intensity, adaptability, and leadership. You should care because Buchanan embodies the ‘complete player’ mindset: small stature, big heart, and unmatched versatility.
