Drake’s veteran back with a leadership-grade rep
DeCarlos Love is a Drake Bulldogs running back whose value has long been tied to toughness, consistency, and team-first leadership; Drake officially recognized him with the Gene Schultz Award for leadership, citizenship, and personal conduct in 2006, which is exactly the kind of intangible that makes coaches smile[8]. ESPN lists him as Drake’s running back, but there isn’t current season stat data available here, so the real takeaway is the profile: a back associated with reliable work habits, physical running, and dependable locker-room presence rather than flash-only production[1][8].
