Mayomi Olootu Jr. brings playmaking upside to NIU’s secondary
Mayomi Olootu Jr. stands out as a ball-hawking cornerback with proven turnover production, including an interception in the end zone for NIU, which signals real instincts and confidence in coverage.[2] He fits best for a team that values aggressive, disruptive DB play rather than just safe zone assignments, and his presence suggests a competitive edge in big moments.[2][3] Publicly available roster data shows NIU lists him as a cornerback, but detailed recent season stats and injury context are limited in the available sources, so his evaluation leans more on on-field flashes and game impact than a full statistical profile.[1][5]
