Veteran FIU Forward with Efficient Touch and Board Work
Richard Bivens is a 6-foot-9 forward who gave FIU a seasoned, efficient frontcourt option in 2016-17, averaging 2.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 13 games while shooting 56% from the field and 5-for-8 from three. His calling card is low-drama efficiency: he’s a mobile big who can space the floor a bit, rebound, and fit into a team concept without needing touches. The upside is role flexibility; the caveat is that his college production was modest, so he profiles more as a glue guy than a featured scorer.
