Gretchen Gaskin brings backcourt IQ and steady perimeter shooting to IU Indianapolis
Gaskin is best known as a **smart, experienced guard** whose value comes from game feel, outside shooting, and backcourt depth rather than flashy volume scoring; earlier recruiting coverage highlighted her “good outside shooting” and “great knowledge and understanding of the game.”[5] For a team, that profile usually means a reliable connector who can space the floor, keep possessions organized, and fit into structured systems without needing the ball every trip—exactly the kind of guard coaches trust when details matter.
