David Estes brings stretch-big upside to Whittier’s frontcourt
In the 2025-26 season, David Estes is a 6-foot-8 junior center who gives Whittier a rare inside-out option: he has shown scoring touch, rebounding presence, and legit three-point range from his College of Southern Nevada days, where he reportedly doubled his scoring to 10.0 points per game while grabbing 5.0 rebounds and shooting 39% from deep in the prior season. Whittier’s coverage also praised him for “strong defensive minutes” and a season-high in blocks, making him a useful fit if a team wants size, versatility, and a low-drama academic-minded contributor with room to keep growing.
