Tyler Phenow brings live arm upside to TCU’s bullpen
Phenow is a right-handed pitcher with intriguing arm strength and a wipeout slider, and earlier scouting video showed his fastball can reach 93 mph. At TCU, though, his 2026 results were uneven: he appeared in 13 games and posted an 11.70 ERA with 6 strikeouts and 7 walks in 10 innings, so the raw stuff has not yet translated consistently. He is the kind of arm worth watching if you value velocity, breaking-ball potential, and development upside over polished present-day production.
