Kansas’s rim-protecting, double-double machine
In the 2009-10 season, Cole Aldrich was a major force for Kansas, averaging 11.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 3.5 blocks per game while starting all 36 games; in 2008-09, he posted 14.9 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks per game. He was a top-ranked recruit out of high school and developed into an elite interior anchor, winning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year twice and helping Kansas to the 2008 national title. If you want a bruising, high-IQ center who protects the rim, cleans the glass, and brings veteran toughness, Aldrich is your guy.
