Freshman DL Blake Thorp is already flashing for Valpo
Blake Thorp enters the 2026 season as a 6-1, 260-pound freshman defensive lineman for Valparaiso, and he’s already on the stat sheet with 2 tackles and a half-sack through the early going. The standout trait here is the polish behind the power: his high-school background highlights heavy production, strength numbers, and captain-level leadership, which points to a disruptive, physical interior player who plays with edge. If your team wants a tough, ascending line piece with upside, he’s worth a close look.
