Experienced SC State guard who can score and compete
James Richardson is a veteran South Carolina State guard whose game has long been built on shot-making, toughness, and winning background. In the 2017-18 season, he averaged 10.2 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists while shooting 38.4% from the field and 33.9% from three, and in the 2016-17 season he posted 8.2 points per game with similar efficiency. His standout trait is competitiveness: SC State once noted he brought “electrifying” guard play and he earned MEAC Co-Player of the Week honors in the 2017 season after a 20.5-point stretch.
