Addie McLaughlin gives Western Illinois a quick, left-handed spark in the outfield
McLaughlin, a 5-foot-2 freshman outfielder for Western Illinois in 2026, has been a useful table-setter, batting .252 with 32 hits, 25 runs and 11 RBIs while handling a left-handed bat and glove that add lineup balance. Her profile suggests a contact-oriented, speed-leaning game rather than power, which can translate well for teams that value pressure on defenses, run creation and versatility. At the same time, the available sources do not show major accolades or injury concerns, so the appeal is more about steady production and upside than a proven star résumé.
