Senior RHP who can miss bats and deliver big Friday-night outings for Charlotte
In the 2026 season, Ryan Combs has shown real swing-and-miss stuff for Charlotte, piling up 41 strikeouts in 29.1 innings with a 4.91 ERA while also turning in a gem against Tulane: a seven-inning shutout with nine strikeouts on 109 pitches.[4][15] He’s the kind of senior right-hander coaches trust when they need a competitive, composed arm, and his recent American Conference recognition backs that up.[15] The concern is consistency—there have been some rocky outings—but if you want upside, strikeout ability, and a pitcher who can flash ace-level stuff, Combs is worth a close look.[3][5]
