Deron Johnson brings veteran linebacker grit to Tennessee State
Deron Johnson is a steady, experienced linebacker for Tennessee State who brings size, continuity, and a no-frills defensive mindset to the Tigers’ front seven. In the available TSU roster history, he’s listed at 6-foot-1, 228 pounds in 2022 after previously being 6-foot-1, 220 pounds, and his background suggests a player built on toughness and assignment discipline rather than flash. He’s the kind of defender who can help a team by being dependable, physical, and mature — a solid fit if you want a linebacker who understands the game and won’t get rattled.
