CJ Estelle brings veteran DB energy to UT Martin with proven playmaking roots
CJ Estelle is listed on UT Martin’s 2026 roster as a defensive back, and the best public stat trail tied to his Skyhawk career points to real ball skills: in the 2010 season he logged 17 punt returns for 195 yards and also posted 33 career punt returns for 478 yards, a strong indicator of field vision and return-game value[4][8]. He profiles as a player who can help a team with versatility, toughness, and special-teams juice, which is exactly the kind of under-the-radar edge coaches love. The catch: the readily available public data is old, so there is limited recent production to evaluate beyond roster status[13].
