Cornell’s ball-hawking back-end leader
In the 2003 season, Neil Morrissey was Cornell’s defensive tone-setter in the secondary, leading the team with 94 tackles, including 52 solo stops, and tying a league-high with 14 passes broken up while earning All-Ivy honorable mention and team MVP honors. He also flashed big-game juice with a 24-tackle outing against nationally ranked Colgate, which says plenty about his motor and toughness. If a roster needs a safety who arrives downhill, diagnoses quickly, and plays with nasty consistency, Morrissey looks like a very strong fit.
