Versatile DB Transfer Seeking Bigger Stage After Modest College Output
T.J. Butler, a cornerback/linebacker hybrid currently uncommitted after entering the transfer portal from Charlotte on Dec. 18, 2023, brings high school pedigree with 42 tackles and 1 INT in his 2018-19 senior season at St. Mark's (DE), far exceeding national averages. College stats are light—1 tackle in limited 2023 action per FOX Sports, 7 tackles in 6 games (2024) at SCSU—but his multi-positional flexibility, starter experience at Bryant (28 tackles, 2 PBUs in 2022), and Delaware roots make him a gritty, high-motor fit for teams needing depth and special teams intensity. Watch for portal landing; raw upside for development.
