developmental edge setter with Minnesota upside
Buchanan projects as a strong-side defensive end with the kind of frame-and-effort profile coaches like for run defense and rotational edge work, and his Minnesota connection gives him extra local familiarity and fit value. His current statistical footprint is still very small, so the appeal is less about production and more about upside, toughness, and a developmental role player who could grow into a reliable depth piece if his hands, leverage, and first-step consistency keep improving.
