Deion Roberson brings proven pass-rush production and all-conference pedigree to Alcorn State
Roberson is the kind of edge defender who changes protection schemes: he was an All-SWAC first-team caliber producer at Alcorn State, ranking fourth in the SWAC with 8 sacks and third with 21 tackles for loss in the season cited by the program, while also helping drive a defense that finished second in total defense and fifth in rush defense. His calling card is disruptive backfield play, not just raw tackle volume, and the program record of 21.5 tackles for loss underscores a high-impact, assignment-squeezing style that fits teams wanting a productive, proven defensive tone-setter.
