Dylan Thompson brings proven Gamecocks QB poise, clutch-shotmaking and leadership
Dylan Thompson’s South Carolina profile is that of a confident, pro-style quarterback who could steady an offense with experience, composure and a willingness to attack downfield; in his Gamecocks career, he flashed big-play ability and showed he could handle pressure in high-leverage moments, including a strong bowl performance and a memorable first start against Clemson. His differentiators are maturity, leadership and competitiveness rather than raw dual-threat explosiveness, and his fit depends on whether a team values a veteran distributor who can keep an offense on schedule and deliver in tight games.
