Power-back production, but the résumé is from Michigan’s mid-2000s era
In the 2006 season, Kevin Grady was Michigan’s second-leading rusher with 483 yards on 121 carries and a team-high five rushing touchdowns as a true freshman, flashing downhill contact balance and useful receiving skills (14 catches for 113 yards).[11] Across his Michigan career, he finished with 783 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns, though the overall efficiency settled at 3.9 yards per carry, which helps explain why some evaluators viewed him as productive but not explosive.[1][11] His calling card was physical, inside-the-tackles running and a willingness to play multiple roles, but an injury-marred path and modest big-play output limit the “must-have” appeal compared with elite backs.[7][11]
