Elijah Brody is emerging as a versatile, local-homegrown defensive line piece for New Mexico
In the 2025 season, Elijah Brody played all 13 games for New Mexico after moving to the defensive line, finishing with 8 tackles and 1 sack while earning Mountain West All-Academic honors in 2024. The big hook here is his flexibility and growth curve: he arrived as a former quarterback from Albuquerque’s West Mesa, spent time all over the field, then found a real home up front. At 6-foot-1 and 229 pounds, he brings positional toughness, special-teams value, and a high-effort, coachable vibe that suggests he could keep climbing.
