a clutch Wisconsin kicker with proven range and game-winning nerve
Philip Welch’s calling card is reliability under pressure: at Wisconsin, he built a reputation as a confident, high-leverage kicker with strong field-goal accuracy and enough leg to hit from distance, including a 57-yard long in his college career. ESPN lists him at 77.6% on field goals and 98.1% on extra points, while contemporaneous coverage noted his trust on shorter attempts and his ability to deliver in tight games. If you need a kicker who can handle big moments and won’t be rattled easily, Welch fits that profile.
