Lake Arthur’s defense-first guard with playmaking roots
Anna Shaw entered McNeese with a reputation as a steady, high-IQ point guard from Lake Arthur, where she piled up 1,291 points, 399 steals and 487 assists in high school and earned team defensive MVP honors twice[1]. Her profile screams disruptive defender and creator rather than pure scorer, which makes her appealing if a team wants toughness, pressure defense and smart decision-making at the point[1][2]. The catch: the public college stat trail is thin, so her current value is harder to quantify than her background suggests[1][2].
