Veteran YSU tight end brings size, local roots, and reliable depth
Durkin is a big-bodied, homegrown tight end from Youngstown who gave Youngstown State veteran experience and positional depth, listed at 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds in the 2018 roster. He stood out more as a physical, steady presence than a flashy stat producer, with coaches valuing tight ends who can help in both the run game and passing game. For a team, that usually means a player who brings toughness, familiarity, and no-drama reliability — the kind of fit that helps an offense stay balanced and grounded.
