Top-tier defensive prospect with lockdown upside
Miami’s 2027 commitment Dontae Wright is drawing big-time buzz as a high-end defensive back with elite ball skills and true lockdown potential; one recruiting report said he posted 25 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and seven pass breakups in his most recent season, while rankings outlets have placed him as high as No. 1 among cornerbacks and No. 4 overall in the class of 2027. He stands out for his coverage instincts, competitiveness, and ability to erase one side of the field, which makes him the kind of difference-maker every defense covets.
