Mike Hughes brings NFL-tested cover skills and reliable run support to Lafayette’s defense
Mike Hughes is listed as a **Lafayette Leopards DL**, but the available reliable performance data points to an experienced **cornerback** profile, with a steady recent NFL track record built on tackling, pass breakups, and one-interception production in 2025. In 2025, he posted **40 solo tackles, 1 interception, and 7 passes defended**, showing he can contribute in coverage and in run support rather than just as a pure shutdown defender. He looks like a fit for a team that values toughness, versatility, and game-ready experience over flashy box-score production.
