NDSU’s speedy, versatile WR who flashed upside but battled injury
DeSean Warren is a 5-foot-10, 159-pound wide receiver whose profile has long been built on speed, separation, and playmaking upside rather than brute size. In his NDSU bio, he was a Kansas all-state receiver in high school, and his freshman season in 2013 was wiped out by injury, which is the biggest context point for his evaluation. That makes him a classic high-ceiling, health-dependent fit: if you want a compact, explosive slot-type target with quick-twitch traits, he’s intriguing; if you need a physical jump-ball bully, he’s not that guy.
