Iona freshman forward Saren Westrop brings size and Canadian development pedigree
Saren Westrop is a **6-foot-7 freshman forward** for Iona who arrives with a solid frame and a background in Canadian basketball, including time at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute and Lethbridge University. His appeal is mostly in the **forward-sized length and versatility** that can translate to switchable defense, rebounding, and energy minutes rather than headline scoring. With limited public statistical detail available, the key fit question is whether Iona wants a developmental wing/forward whose value is more about physical tools, upside, and role flexibility than proven production.
