Shyler Staton brings **DB depth** and **defensive upside** to Lamar
Shyler Staton is worth watching as a defensive back for Lamar because his value is tied to coverage versatility, special-teams usefulness, and the kind of development potential coaches like in an overlooked defensive piece. Publicly available recruiting and stat-tracking information on his current college performance is limited, so the best read is that he profiles as a depth-and-upside DB rather than a headline-grabbing star right now. If your team wants a competitive, system-fit defensive back who can grow into a bigger role, Staton is the type of player to monitor.
