Carnell Hopson brings veteran edge-rush depth and pass-rush juice to Georgia State
Carnell Hopson is a seasoned Georgia State defensive end who was listed as a backup in pass-rush situations and, in the 2015 season, produced disruptive flashes like a sack-forced fumble vs. Charlotte and a sack at Arkansas State. He fits as a rotational edge player rather than a volume-stat monster, but that kind of role often matters: he’s the kind of guy who can change a drive with effort, leverage, and timely pressure. The big question is health and consistency, since he also missed games in the 2015 season due to injury.
