Anthony Smith brings proven burst and versatility to ACU’s backfield
In the 2026 season, Anthony Smith has 95 carries for 412 yards and 6 touchdowns, a steady 4.3 yards per carry that shows he can handle real volume while still finishing drives[1]. ACU lists him as a senior at 5-11, 205, and team notes have praised his versatility, strong hands, and ability to win in short yardage because he can both lower the shoulder and create after contact[6][7]. For a team, he looks like a reliable, multi-down back with dependable production, physicality, and enough all-around game to stay on the field, not just a one-trick ponied-up highlight reel[1][7].
