Texas Tech Safety Known More for Depth Than Production
Chris Yeakey’s Texas Tech profile shows a reserve safety who brought size and effort to the roster, but not a heavy statistical resume: his listed career high is 2 tackles, recorded against Minnesota in 2012. That means his value was more about being a reliable practice-and-depth piece than a headline-grabbing playmaker. If you’re looking for a proven impact defender, the stats don’t suggest it; if you want a steady, developmental safety with experience in the program, he fits that lane.
