Shannon Murphy brings old-school rim protection and blue-collar minutes to Holy Cross
In the 2020-21 season, Shannon Murphy gave Holy Cross a low-usage, effort-first presence at center: she appeared in 12 games, made one start, and ranked second on the team with 6 blocks, including a career-high 3 blocks in 8 minutes at Boston University. Her value is less about box-score fireworks and more about paint protection, physicality, and doing the dirty work without needing touches. If your team wants a tough, steady interior defender who embraces a role and plays with grit, Murphy checks that box.
